GRE & GRP Pipe Laying and Jointing

Reliable and Efficient Wear & Corrosion Free Tailormade Solutions

Saudi Arabia is continuously expanding its infrastructure, urban region, and industrial capabilities through NEOM and other projects under Saudi Vision 2030. In these developmental projects the demand for advanced piping systems has grown competitively very fast.

To meet the growing demand, GRE and GRP pipes are at the forefront which provide a piping system with unparalleled strtheng, longevity, and resistance to corrosion. Black Cat’s GRE & GRP pipe laying and jointing services in Saudi Arabia are designed to meet the specific demands of the Kingdom’s diverse industries.

RTR/GRE/GRP Pipe Laying and Jointing

Black Cat works on different types of non-metallic pipelines

  • GRE and GRP Pipes: GRP stands for Glass Reinforced Plastic and GRE for Glass Reinforced Epoxy. In GRE pipe, epoxy resin is used for bonding glass fiber whereas in GRP pipe, isophthatic resin is used for bonding glass fiber. These bonding materials make the non-metallic pipeline strong and corrosion free to withstand higher temperatures in Saudi Arabia.
  • GRV Pipe: It is made of Glass Reinforced Vinylester. It is used in sanitary sewerage collection & drainage systems, water transmission and distribution, and in many other applications./li>
  • RTR Pipe: It is made of Reinforced Thermosetting Resin, which is very resistant to corrosion used for transportation of produced fluids and injection water.
  • Other Non-metallic Pipes: Unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride (UPVC) Pipe, High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Pipe, Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF) Pipe, etc.

Our expers work on following GRE & GRP Pipe Joints

Our BGC Specialized team of skilled and experienced professionals are experts for different types of pipes joints, such as:

Chemical Bonded Restrained Joints
  • Lamination Joint: It does’t require thrust blocks. Hand layup and wrap-around methods are used in GRP and GRE pipes lamination joints. This type of pipe joint is designed to meet the required pressure and stiffness class.
  • Adhesive Bonded Joint: In this pipe joint two or more parts are joined by the solidification or hardening of a non-metallic adhesive material between the substrates surfaces.
  • TigerWrap Lamination Joint: This GRP pipe joint can be used for 1500 mm pipes to withstand a pressure up to 20 bar. It can be visually inspected before hydrotesting and can be also installed above ground or buried.
Mechanical Restrained Joints
  • Coupler Joint: This method is used in GRP pipe jointing process as per the recommendation of the manufacturer not to exceed marked angular deflection. It is commonly used in fire protection systems, water and waste-water systems, and other industrial applications.
  • Flanged Joint: In a non-metallic pipeline system flanged joint is a mechanical connection that joins fittings, pipes, or valves together with the help of flanges and external screws. It is mostly used in pipelines because of its strength, security, and leak-rsistant. Flanged joints are suitable for transporting substances at high pressure. It is also used for potable water, sewage sludge, and fire protection pipelines.
  • Rubber Seal Bell & Spigot Locked Joint: It is up to 1400 mm and can bear a pressure up to 50 bar. This type of GRP pipe joint does’nt require thrust blocks. It is generally used in buried applications.
  • Threaded Joint: In this pipes are screwed together by using pipe threads and a sealing material, such as teflon tape. It is generally used in low temperature and low pressure applications like water supply in toilets, sinks, and showers.
Mechanical Non-Restrained Joints
  • Double Bell Coupler Joint: It is a non-restrained joint up to 4000 mm and can withstand a pressure up to 40 bar. It has high flexibility and deflection, requiring thrust blocks or hybrid systems. It is used in hydropower aboveground installations and buried applications.
  • Rubber Seal Bell & Spigot Non-Restrained Joint: It is up to 1400 mm and withstand a pressure up to 50 bar. It is also with deflection and flexibility that requires thrust blocks or hybrid systems. It is also used in buried and hydropower applications.

Our experienced expert professionals also provide metallic pipes laying and jointig services for small to big projects across the industries in Saudi Arabia.
